Ingredients

When freezing food:

  • Use heavy duty freezer bags or freezer wrap
  • Airtight plastic containers
  • Double wrap when possible
  • Label and color-code items for easy identification

Directions

Never thaw food in room temperature, because bacteria can build up.

Thawing fish: -- 1 lb. frozen fish takes 24 hours to thaw completely in the fridge, or one hour if quick-thawed, well-wrapped in cold water. -- To thaw fish in the microwave, use only medium-low power.
