All the guests raved about the Crab Salad Wontons and the empty plate spoke for itself. Easy and delicious nibbles, not to mention pretty healthy too!

I used lemons (juice and rind), grated ginger, red wine vinegar and a dash of old bay seasoning, fresh parsely, 1 shallot, celery- all diced. YUM. the wonton cup was the perfect bite. delicious.

I had my son and daughter-in-law over for Christmas and I made this and they were in absolute awe of the presentation and couldn't believe the taste and aroma of these wonderful appetizers. I served them with a great bottle of wine and they left wanting more. She wanted the recipe. This is a 10 in our book. I did put sea salt instead of regular salt on the Wonton's and I put fresh parmesean cheese on top. Donna

I made this recipe using imitation crab because that is what I had on hand. For the dressing I used lemon and fresh parsley as I had no lime and despise cilantro and they turned out amazing!

A pleasant surprise

This was delicious and made a nice presentation. I used canned lump crabmeat and made it the day before, putting the salad in the wontons just before serving. Having the salad and dressing sit overnight resulted in an even nicer taste. I will make this again.

really good

this is the perfect appetizer, especially in spring/summer, as the flavors are so light and tasty. Keep an eye on the wontons when they are in the oven - at 8 minutes mine were almost burned.

Refreshing

Salad portion of this dish was very fresh tasting but the Won Ton was a bit shap and very crunchy and not much flavor. May make it again without the Won Ton.

Another great recipe from Ellie! I had to stop myself from eating most of them before the guests got here, lol. I used diced avocado in place of the cilantro (because my husband doesn't like it.) Fantastic, easy and wonderful recipe.

Really TASTY and so cute with their own edible "bowls". I made this twice over the holidays and even the non-seafood lovers loved it! Awesome!

It's a nice, simple recipe; however my wife - the biggest crab lover in the house - didn't like it.

Good Recipe-Some Suggestions

This is a good recipe mostly because the mini salads look so good. I added some diced red bell pepper for color and to make the crab go further. Don't store the filled wontons in the fridge for more than about an hour or they get soggy

A new Take on Crab Salad

Wow, this recipe is so light and fresh tasting. My suggestion is to serve the wontons on the side and let everyone fill their own. If they sit too long the wontons become soft. Really tasty recipe.
