very good 11/04/2007 at 11:24am User: DAVID from Denver, CO User Rating: I'm the first to admit that I am not a big fan of Guy. Works just a little bit too hard to be macho for my taste. So, I was surprised by this recipe because I don't think a lot of biker dudes would care for it. It is a lot of work with all the veggie prep and the initial investment in all the Asian ingredient is substantial BUT the end result is very tasty. Great hot as well as cold! 09/12/2007 at 03:56pm User: Kim from BETHLEHEM, PA User Rating: I didnt have chili oil, so I used a few drops of hot sauce, and it was very good! Also, my son came home later, and didnt know this was supposed to be a cold salad. He heated up some of it in the microwave and really enjoyed it that way as well! Great recipe! I just love Guy!! Noode-licioso... 09/08/2007 at 03:36pm User: Elsie from Greenville, CA User Rating: My husbad Cliff and I are on strict DIET. When I saw you preparing the ingredients and seen how it is done, I went to my pantry and check if I have all the ingredients. Unluckily I have to buy some so it took me the follwoing day to do it. My gosh, my husband just loved it and got another serving. Count me as one of your avid supporters and may your tribe increase. Your recipes are just practical and really "palatable"... See more and more of it, Big Guy! Delicious & Versatile 05/01/2008 at 11:24am User: COLLEEN from des moines, IA User Rating: This salad is perfect as a side or as an entree for lunch. The flavors are distinct and delicious. I served it with Ina Garten's Asian Grilled Salmon. Wonderful meal! Refreshing! 03/12/2008 at 07:26pm User: margaret from decatur, GA User Rating: I completely forgot the Olive Oil, and the dish was still delicious. The dressing wasn't too strong this way, so I will only add 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil next time. Sooooo goood.... 02/09/2008 at 07:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This salad is absolute delicious! My husband and I could not stop eating it! Thanks sooo much, Guy! Yummy! 01/14/2008 at 09:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I am a vegetarian so I adjusted the recipe slightly by adding small cubes of fried tofu that I got from the Japanese market. This way it was a whole meal with the protein. I also used thinly sliced cucumbers instead of the celery because I am not crazy about raw celery. It was easy to make and the flavor of the sauce was very balanced. I will definitely make this again. Fresh and tasty 01/12/2008 at 09:19pm User: Jean from Chardon, OH User Rating: This recipe works well with substitutions - we used green cabbage instead of bok choi. We also used considerably less olive oil than the recipe called for. |
