Waffles 10/26/2007 at 01:28pm User: Janet from St. George, UT User Rating: My family enjoyed these waffles. I made them exactly as directed and they turned out great. I do question the prep time indicated on the recipe, however. It takes about 5 minutes to make the waffles and one recipe resulted in four batches of waffles with a cooking time of 3 minutes each. At most, the total time should be less than 20 minutes. The 35 minutes indicated would lead the reader to believe that these are much more complicated than they are. delish 10/22/2005 at 10:04am User: Anonymous User Rating: scrumptious waffles Easy to make & delicous 08/20/2006 at 10:30am User: Kelly from Bayside, NY User Rating: Quick batter to put together. Texture was moist, light yet dense (almost like an airy cake). I added a touch of honey to balance salt, and used 1/2c whole wheat pastry flour which worked nicely. I will make again, maybe use this batter for pancakes. Fluffiest Waffles Ever! 08/01/2004 at 06:16pm User: STEVE & SHERRY from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA User Rating: Thank you for this awesome recipe and the added options of pecans and icecream. These waffles were so light and fluffy and we ended up freezing some of them for another round of "Good Eats!" Good, but nothing special... 05/08/2006 at 03:30pm User: SARAH from Los Angeles, CA User Rating: These waffles were easy to make, but weren't anything special. If I were to make them again I would add a touch of sugar (they weren't sweet at all) and I wouldn't chop the pecans so finely. waffles 05/07/2006 at 10:59am User: Anonymous User Rating: it was great! Original Idea 03/21/2007 at 12:15am User: Nicolette from Kansas City, MO User Rating: I never would have thought the sour cream could make the waffles so creamy and unique. Very, very good. Yet, not hard to make. Great Waffles 03/05/2005 at 06:20am User: JENNIFER from Peachtree City, GA User Rating: This recipe was really easy to make and the waffles were very light and fluffy. I was very skeptical at first when I had to use sour cream, but they turned out very well. I will certianly use this recipe again. Heavy and Limp 03/01/2008 at 06:53pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These waffles were very heavy, not crisp unless you burnt them. Although they did have a good flavor but texture wise they were awful. I was very surprised b/c I generally like Alton Brown's recipes. YUM! Best waffles ever, no doubt 02/06/2005 at 12:11pm User: CAROL from Mountain View, CA User Rating: Easy, delicious breakfast, with just maple syrup and butter -- or warm apricot jam -- or canned sliced peaches with a pinch of nutmeg gently warmed in a saucepan. Shut Up!!! Boring 01/26/2008 at 04:50am User: Anonymous User Rating: Just really uninteresting. Certainly wouldn't make them again. Maybe with the ice cream they would be better, but they should have been good on their own. First Time Waffle Maker 01/06/2008 at 09:31am User: David and Pamela from Alexandria, VA User Rating: My husband received a cast iron waffle maker for Christmas. We christened it by making this recipe. We were very impressed with the results. Crisp outside and light and fluffy inside. Will definitely make again! good waffles 01/01/2008 at 10:58am User: Anonymous User Rating: i added honey and orange zest and they were great. |
