I made this dish and I wasn't pleased. The sauce did not get thick enough, but I added more cornstarch and the shrimp need seasoning prior to being cooked. I did read the reviews prior and knew to add some spice. It helped. Unless I can find a way to enhance this dish, I will not make it again. Sorry, Guy!

It was so easy to make and so yummy when done. I tried it again with Pinnaple in lieu of apple, tasty as well.

What a treat to have such a delicious way to prepare shrimp. The sauce is outstanding....not your usual flavors with shrimp. My husband and I are already thinking of different things to use with this sauce. Guy is truly inventive and love his out of the box combinations - especially those not loaded with calories.

You'll Have to Try this One!

My boyfriend and I made this together and we enjoyed every mouthful. We did take a short cut Guy, we used a Sangria wine instead of the juices-brandy and wine but also used the same cup eqivalance so that the glaze would turn out correct and it really did. The flavor was such a delight we will make this again and again especially since we are big seafood lovers. I also recommend spooning it over a mixture of rice, we used vegatable garden. P.S. The Shark Attack was a great dinner drink with it. Thanks Again Guy

Made this as an appetizer for a small dinner party. The glaze was gloppy from the corn starch and the amount of glaze overpowered the shrimp. OK fruit and brown sugar flavor. Some red pepper for heat to couterbalance the almost overly sweet overall flavor would help. I would glaze with only half the recipe amount and test for personal preference before using all the glaze.

where's the flavor????

i don't think the amount of red wine is correct for the glaze cause when reduced, the sauce didn't have much of a flavor. i'll try again with MORE red wine.

Had to Try it!

After seeing the show, my husband and I went out and got everything we needed to try this recipe. Boy were we happy we did. The flavors are to die for. The glaze did not give you the usual shrimp flavors that you tend to always get, but it was so full of the fruit flavors with out overpowering the shrimp, can't wait to treate my friends!

Great for a party

Loved this recipe - only used about half of the glaze, and added a diced green pepper as well. Hot pepper would be nice, but not necessary. Serve over rice to soak up delicious juices. Very colorful and easy. Another winner, Guy!

I made these prawns for my husband after seeing Guy's show last weekend, they were absolutely wonderful. The sangria sauce made my whole house smell so good. Served them with a rice pilaf. Think I might add a few red pepper flakes next time for a little "heat". Thanks, Guy, for a hit in our house! They'll become a "regular" in our Friday night rotation.

Wow! I was in NYC at Foodnetwork Kitchen and met Guy and observed part of the taping of this episode. Could not wait to make this. It WAS worth the wait. Easy, excellent flavor combination and the mint, chopped on top upon presentation, is a MUST. It brightens all the flavors. Great recipe. I WILL make this often.

wrote the recipe wrong. Either that, or they scaled it down. On the show, he used 2/3 of a BOTTLE of wine, not 3/4 of a cup. This was the best Guy Fieri episode I'd ever seen. I didn't care for his food before.

This recipe was wonderful and quite easy to make. The next time I make it, which will be soon, I will add a jalepeno pepper or two so that the hot balances the sweet. This is for sure a keeper!

This recipe fits in nicely with a southwestern theme here in New Mexico. Wonderful color, nice kick of flavors, eye catching dish.
