Guys' Caesar Salad 11/25/2007 at 02:57pm User: Liz from Pt Chevalier, AK User Rating: My partner had some of his friends around for a pre xmas drink about 10 males and a couple of wives but mainly blokes. I could have made this all day and they would have eaten it all day it was delicious. I am not a big lettuce or salad fan but this was divine. Thanks You The nature of Caesar 09/04/2006 at 03:35pm User: JOYCE from ORANGE, VA User Rating: Key components of true Caesar dressing are anchovies and egg. Those who don't like anchovies should not be making this dressing. And as for the "dash of Worchestershire" called for by one of the reviewers, the recipe already calls for W-sauce. (which contains anchovies) Great, authentic Caesar salad. Nice to see a cook who isn't afraid to commit to flava'!! Keep the bold, flavorful recipes coming!!! pretty good 09/03/2006 at 02:30pm User: DAVID from Denver, CO User Rating: Not bad but personally I think it's light on the anchovy and would benefit from a dash of worchestershire and tabasco and a little dry mustard. Maybe just my taste but I think a good Caesar needs some croutons - especially, if they're homemade. Classic Recipe 09/02/2007 at 04:05pm User: David from Honolulu, HI User Rating: The classic recipe use a coddled egg and anchovy filets. I didn't like the uncooked egg white in Guy's dressing, but otherwise it was OK on taste. I prefer a dressing with a bit more garlic. Croutons would finish the salad perfectly. Wonderful 08/20/2006 at 05:39pm User: HEATHER from Tulsa, OK User Rating: I love real tasting caesar dressing and this is it! I made it without the raw egg so my little ones could eat it as well. I didn't use all of my dressing and saved it in a container and have used it for a couple of other meals as this makes a lot of dressing. I Love Garlic!!! 08/10/2006 at 10:41pm User: Pierre-Yves from Costa Mesa, CA User Rating: Thanks Guy! I find your dressing to be very tasty, it's a little strong on flavor but, isn't it how a caesar dressing should be?? Little tip for you guys out there ready to make this dressing::: Although it's really good fresh, I find it to be better the day after. Just make the dressing the day before you serve it and BAM!! You're all set! If you don't have time, don't worry, it's VERY good made on the spot! Later! Excellent dressing 07/31/2006 at 05:34pm User: Charlotte from Benson, NC User Rating: I whipped this up last night to pour over some romain hearts that I had on hand. It was AWESOME! I prefer a little less garlic but, if you are a lover of garlic this is the dressing for you!!!! cesar maximus 07/23/2006 at 04:31pm User: Anonymous User Rating: awsome, quick & easy Sensational Caesar 07/23/2006 at 02:42pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Not a real fan of anchovy, but combined with the fresh grated Parmesan, mmm, mmm, good. |
