I've made this before and sliced the radishes and put it on top of the bread, now that it's summer, I grilled some Chibatta (sp?) bread and once I took it off, I slathered it in the herb butter - I think it was the best part of the meal. I will now be making this for the 4th of July cookout. ps. you don't need to mix it in a machine, just use very room temperature butter and mix with whatever you have on hand. Yahoo......loved it.

I was very skeptical of this recipe as I haven't eaten radishes very often. I served this to a group of friends (who were also very skeptical). It was amazing. Everyone was oohing and aahing or it. I would definitely make it again and recommend to anyone, even if you are wary.

i did this reciepe for my family which ranges from 1 1/2 year old to 60 years old and EVERY member enjoyed it, I was told that it added a new twist to the traditional radish.

I made this last year for a picnic and orchestra concert. It was a HUGE hit and has been requested this year for the fourth of July concert. I never knew so many people liked radishes. The herb butter is to die for.

Why not just make it simple and eat your radishes with salt and butter like the French do. They usually eat this for breakfast; not kidding it's true. My husband is French and he loves radishes with salt and butter.

Loved this one. My husband thought it sounded weird but he was convinced once he tasted the crispy bread, herb butter and radishes together. A wonderful and different type of appetizer.

I grew up with radish sandwichs. Bread, butter and salt the sliced radishes. Still eat them. Cannot wait to make the herbed butter and enjoy it even more. Made me smile when I watched the show. I gave it 5 stars because I know how great plain butter & radishes go together. Thanks Ina

I didn't do the radishes. Sliced on top of the bread and butter sounds really good. The herb butter is to die for. I have made it before. This time I used chives, basil and parsley. I did not have dill on hand. I served it with smoked salmon on top of the toasted bread. Rave reviews!! The dill would have been great with the salmon.

Okay honestly this was AMAZING!!!!!!!! I added a bit more herbs and lemon juice which was mouth-watering!!!! I spread it on the hot slice baguette out of the oven and the butter melted and just left he beautiful herbs on top---what FLAVOR!!!!!!! I could eat this every day!!!!! HOnestly I feel SOO lucky to have started watching Food Network...they have changed my life in the sense of how I eat and even my relationship!!!! Yummy food makes life even brighter!!! :)

I changed this around just a wee bit. I thinly sliced the radishes and layed them on the herb butter bread. This was very refreshing and different. I think the herb butter really makes a difference, as I also spread one bread piece with plain butter and it didn't match the taste.
