I've never attempted to roast a turkey, but this lemon, sage and garlic recipe was so easy, it was only about 5 mins prep time. It came out perfectly, juicy and crispy. My husband couldn't believe I cooked it. Easy and delicious. Try it!

I've only made the Chinese 5 Spice version. But my husband and dad really love it! Very juicy, even made it once with red grapefruit inside, cause that's all I had. Well actually, I didn't have that either (stole it off my neighbor's tree!)

I made the Chinese five-spice chicken last night and my husband and I were so impressed. First, it was so easy to prepare(I loved that)and second, it was so moist and flavorful!!! I had leftovers for lunch today and it tasted just as good and was just as moist heated up the next day. Thank you Dave for an incredible new chicken dish, which I will be making again and again. Also want to try the chicken with sage and lemon.

A hit!

My husband and I decided to prepare this together and it was so easy to do. Two different flavors made it so much fun. The children loved both the spicy and sage chicken. Keep it those easy and fun recipes coming. It is great to cook together as a family!

Dave, My whole family loves this chicken! I do the spicier version, with the garlic and orange on the inside, and the chinese 5 spice/orange on the outside. Haven't tried the other version. I love your show and love your recipes, Love the Old world veg soup!!

Made the lemon/sage/garlic chicken and everyone loved it. Our teen son, who loves things simple thought it was moist and flavorful(and it was). Can't wait to try the five-spice chicken.

Very Good

The spice was a bit too hot for my family. I will do again using about half the spice.

After watching the episode where Dave cooked the 5-Spice chicken, my boyfriend and I were immediately craving it. We had chicken breasts in the freezer we used them instead of using a whole chicken. We put cloves of garlic under each chicken breast and put lime and orange slices in the pan to cook with the chicken. It was delicious!!! And so simple.
