perfect amount of alcohol. all my friends were impressed and they ate it all. the recipe is not as time consuming as the tv show makes it look. highly recommend it.

Versatile Recipe

I liked this simple recipe. It does take a bit of care to ensure that it crystallizes properly. I tried this recipe with Mango instead of cranberry and it tastes even better. I made fresh mango juice using 1 large mango, 1 cup water and 1 cup milk. The resulting Granita had a nice silky texture though it took a bit more time to crystallize.

Yum!

although this needed to be made well in advance, it couldn't have been easier and was fantastic! i dropped the vodka to make it more "family friendly" and used pomegranate juice instead, and can't wait to experiment with other juices. (mmm.... watermelon granitas!)

Oh my goodness!

What a combination! It was delicious! I forgot it was in the freezer, therefore it froze solid...however, I let it thaw for a few minutes and then broke it up! No harm done! Easy, delicious, perfect for summer!

Coctail or no?

The recipe calls for cranberry juic coctail, but on her show, she says to use straight cranberry juice. There is quite a difference - which is it?

Used this as a palate cleanser for a seven course Italian dinner party. Was elegant in presentation and so refreshing in taste. Easy but time consuming to prepare. Would definately make again especially as a summer dessert.

This was very good and easy to make. Would make a great palate cleanser, but it doesn't really satisfy as a "dessert".

I thought this looked like a simple to try light dessert and it was, but also the taste was excellent and it was so refreshing. I will definetely make again. Would be terrific in the summer. I used cran-rasberry juice because it is my favorite and it worked well.

So easy for something so delicious! Went easy on the liquor because it smelled very strong, but when frozen it's hardly noticeable. Highly recommended :)
