I really liked this chili recipe, but I wasn't very successful with the bread bowls. I will make this recipe again, except maybe omitting the bread bowls.

Paula, I love to watch your shows. On this recipe I didn't make the biscuit bowls because I'd misplaced my muffin pan, but the chili could not have been any better. I'm going to try to find the larger muffin pans, just because my husband and sons LOVE to eat and need a bigger bowl :) But, honestly, this chili was the best I'd ever had, and to think I made good chili before...ha

It was delicious!

This recipe is absolutely wonderful. I was a bit skeptical even after reading all of the reviews but it turned out great! The chilli was delicious and the biscuit bowl also was very tasty. I think though that you need to double recipe for the biscuit bowl. I made 12 biscuit bowls and was able to fill the chilli in all of them plus extra. Also all of my roommates ate two. One roommate ate three! It is definitely filling but one biscuit bowl won't do. I say maybe two or three per person. Thanks for the recipe!

I'm a novice cook, so I was a little nervous about what the end result would be... I should have known that any recipe of Paula's will be fantastic! Even my husband, who is stingy with his compliments, agreed this recipe was a keeper! I didn't make the biscuit bowls since I'm only cooking for two and my husband stays away from carbs, but the chili was to die for. So good and remarkably easy (even I had no problems with this one)... I will definitely be making this chili again and again. Thanks, Paula!

This recipe is so simple and so good. I made it the night before I served it and it was awesome! And each day after that it kept getting better! The chili however was a bit much for the bread bowls to hang on to - so I serve the biscuits on the side. But still sooo yummy!

I am a novice at cooking. But, when I made this dish for my roomates they were very impressed. Everyone loved it! It was very easy to put together, but still looked like it took ages. Now they think that I am an expert chef. The bread bowls are really cute too, don't skip them, they are really easy and make the dish.

If you liked the biscuit bowls, there are several ways you can use them. I have made "pizza in a biscuit bowl" and our favorite is "breakfast in a biscuit bowl". I make scrambled eggs and mix with a variety of ingredients such as cheese, breakfast meat, onions, chopped green chilis, etc. I undercook the eggs slightly, mix in the other ingredients then fill the pre-cooked bowls and bake just long enough to finish cooking the eggs and melt the cheese. Kids, especially, like these portable, easy to eat bowls and will eat almost anything you put in one.

I wasn't sure about the biscuit bowls with chili, but after forgetting the corn chips at the grocery store I decided to give them a try. I didn't have any cayenne pepper so I used taco seasoning. It was the perfect dish for a stormy evening curled up on the coach. The aroma of the chili is amazing, and then you dig in ... and it gets even better! Thanks Paula

I love Paula, but my chili is much better! I have used the Bisquick mix in the past to make biscuit bowls. For many years now, I either make my own biscuit bowls (homemade - my recipe!) OR Cornbread bowls (homemade from cornmeal - my recipe!) OR Cheese Bread bowls (homemade from a yeast dough with cheese - my recipe!) All 3 are so delicious!

When i saw this on tv and read all the reviews i was so excited to try this recipe. I was very disappointed that this recipe was completely bland, almost flavorless. I added extra seasonings to spice it up a little bit more. The only thing good was the biscuit bowls. Rachael Ray's Indian Summer Chili is much better (has many more spices in it... i was very disappointed Paula!!!!

Along with everyone at my superbowl party we all loved it! but the chilli bowls OMG it was a pain in the beehind! instead of the bisquick mix I bought some of the muffin dough (pillsbury) and it was easier to shape and tasted SOOO delicious! but they still came out looking like muffins. so I cut the top and scraped out the inside and I guess that sort of worked better lol. there was a lot of non tomato fans but aside from that it was soo delicious. I'm a beginner cook so I think the fact that I over cooked my muffin/ biscuit bowls didn't make my recipe better haha
