Should have been called seasoned ricw with meat. Great little side dish 11/17/2005 at 06:58pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I substituted white rice for the wild w|seasoning. Then added extra poultry seasoning...very nice, soooo easy Surprisingly Good! 10/30/2006 at 01:20am User: Christine from Ocala, FL User Rating: I was very skeptical about this... I normally never use boxed anything, but decided to give this a try as we'd just moved and I've been so busy that something had to give. I expected this to be "okay", but nothing special. I was pleasantly surprised however as the rice was absolutely delicious, took no time at all and was so easy to make. Way too salty 10/10/2006 at 12:39pm User: Anonymous User Rating: And had the texture of wet cement. not good 06/25/2006 at 09:18pm User: Anonymous User Rating: zataran's is better Not bad! 06/24/2006 at 01:44pm User: Brian from Cumming, GA User Rating: It was still missing something, but only those Cajuns know what. That said, this is a keeper! Did not Like 06/23/2006 at 12:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: We didn't care for this recipe because it came out very soft and mushy like mash potatoes and it was also quite salty. Amy, Vero Beach. HORRIBLE 06/20/2006 at 02:51pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Horrible, salty, nasty rice. You're better off buying some from Popeye's. This was not one of her best 03/08/2006 at 06:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: and that is pretty sad GOOD DIRTY RICE 03/06/2007 at 02:23pm User: Anonymous User Rating: REALLY GOOD DIRTY RICE, BUT TOO MUCH MEAT. Just 03/06/2006 at 01:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Icky I was surprised at how bad this was 03/05/2006 at 09:38pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I've never had authentic dirty rice (neither has my husband) so we had nothing to compare it with. It was just plain bad by itself. Dirty Rice review 03/05/2006 at 07:58pm User: Marsha from Panama City, FL User Rating: It is a good quick recipe for a side dish. Even my husband ate some and he's a picky eater. rice that tastes like stuffing! 03/03/2006 at 11:00pm User: Anonymous User Rating: it was great! Rice 03/03/2006 at 08:58pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This dirty rice is a savory delight! authentic? 03/02/2006 at 05:39pm User: Louise from Sun City, CA User Rating: Don't know or care if this was authentic or not, I thought it was yummy. In regard to other reviews on S.L's recipes, I don't understand why people have to be so rude. It amazes me how nasty some people are to her. Hope she's not very thin-skinned. If you want easy, delicious dirty rice pick up a box of Zatarains 03/02/2006 at 04:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is a salty, miserable imposter. This is not dirty rice 03/02/2006 at 10:22am User: Anonymous User Rating: It is what it is-rice a roni with sausage and grease. DE 03/02/2006 at 12:33am User: Anonymous User Rating: LISH!!!!! Too salty 02/28/2006 at 01:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: And it had a weird, bitter off taste to it. We thought it was horrible. This is not a cajun recipe 02/28/2006 at 01:11pm User: kathy from new orleans, LA User Rating: Look for a nother site featuring a real New Orleans chef for a good dirty rice recipe. This one is absurd. Good recipe...real review. 02/28/2006 at 02:58am User: Melissa from Tracy, CA User Rating: I liked this recipe. This review is not a fake...I have actually made this recipe and me and my husband liked it and will make it again. I like to read the reviews that people leave because they usually help me being that I don't have lots of money to waste on a bad recipe. I don't appreciate the stupid reviews that some people have made here. They obviously have something against SL but they shouldn't use this space to pick on her, that is not what it is for. Jealousy is a bad habit. Keep your head high Sandra! NOT AT ALL CAJUN 02/27/2006 at 07:11pm User: DEBBIE from ROCHESTER, NY User Rating: MAKING RICE-A-RONI 50 DIFFERENT WAYS DOES NOT MAKE ONE A CHEF salty and oily 02/27/2006 at 07:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Not a very good side dish. Tatsed like stuffing 02/24/2006 at 04:09pm User: Anonymous User Rating: YUCK Sorry, but it was "NASTY" 02/24/2006 at 11:03am User: Anonymous User Rating: Nasty and salty. And far from authentic. Zatarains is much, much better and cheaper and easier, too. authentic and delish! 02/17/2006 at 01:37am User: Anonymous User Rating: :) delish definitely! Balance out the saltiness with a salad 02/08/2007 at 10:23am User: Melissa from Nashville, TN User Rating: It is pretty salty, but I really like the flavors and will probably make it again and try to use a less salty seasoning. I just care about the taste 02/05/2006 at 09:13pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I have never tasted traditional Dirty Rice before, so I had nothing to compare this recipe's authenticity to. This was so good though, I have a feeling I would like it better than the authentic dish. And if I didn't I wouldn't care if it wasn't authentic anyway. :) Serve it with a light salad 02/03/2006 at 11:29pm User: Anonymous User Rating: It's great. You don't even need to make a "main dish" to serve with this rice. It's very filling and has all the elements of a meal. great rendition of dirty rice 02/02/2006 at 10:09pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I don't think semi-homemade recipes are ever "authentic"? This tasted super, which is why I'm glad I made it. It's a keeper! Didn't taste authentic 01/30/2006 at 01:14pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Not authentic at all, but even so it tasted pretty bad. Not what I was expecting 01/27/2006 at 03:30pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Tasted like something you might serve for breakfast or brunch. Not terrible but not a good accompanyment to my dinner. A little salty 01/27/2006 at 12:19pm User: Dorothy from Columbus, GA User Rating: A little salty. But it was really good. Maybe I need to try a lower sodium wild rice mix. WHAT A WEIRD TASTE! 01/26/2006 at 02:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Skip this and buy a box of Zatarain's dirty rice. This is just a wild combo of seeming random ingredients that resemble dirty rice as much as I resemble Sandra Lee. Wont try it again 01/25/2006 at 05:12pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I have to admit that it was not as good as I thiught it would be. Probably won't make it again never tried "dirty" rice before 01/22/2006 at 09:36pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was really really good! great rice 01/18/2006 at 10:38pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was a meal in itself!
