Saw the show and am wondering why the recipe here is different than then one presented? On the show no skin was on the chicken (to reduce the amount on fat)and the chicken was also brushed with soy before smoking it. What gives? Soy adds a lot of flavor . . .

I found it difficult to figure out the equipment for this recipe. My lid apparently didn't have a tight enough seal and I had tons of smoke in my kitchen. I'm just glad the smoke detector in the next room didn't go off! I tried to seal the sides with foil but that didn't work very well. The flavor is good but not worth all that, in my opinion. With a super tight fitting lid it would be a great, fun, and easy recipe.
