Good but sweet 12/23/2004 at 09:49pm User: JENNIFER from delta, CO User Rating: They are good fairly easy to make alittle too sweet Very difficult to make 12/20/2004 at 07:17pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Taste was wonderful, but the truffle mix was a frickin mess to work with cheese cake 12/01/2007 at 11:54pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Great recipe Yum,Yum! 11/02/2004 at 06:57pm User: GERALDINE from lakewood, WA User Rating: This recipe is so easy to make! It's rich & sensous in your mouth! Truffles 10/28/2005 at 06:06pm User: Monique from Garland, TX User Rating: I personnaly loves this recipe. It was easy to make, and fun to make with my mother. It tasted really good, too! Truffles 10/23/2005 at 02:01pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy and delicious! 08/05/2007 at 03:37pm User: Caitlyn from Dallas, TX User Rating: These were so yummy! Seemed fancy but weren't hard to make at all! best!!! 04/25/2007 at 01:33pm User: lisa from hamilton, NJ User Rating: best dessert for valentines day!!! minor changes 04/17/2008 at 05:53pm User: LYNN from Cocoa Beach, FL User Rating: I made these for a dessert party. I did make a few minor changes. I added 2 TBS Chambord to the crust. I used mini muffin tins with paper liners. I also added 2 TBS Chambord to the truffle filling. The directions for the truffles are misleading. Once the truffle mixture has been whipped and is fairly cool, it is ready to be piped into the crusts. If you chill the filling you will never get it piped. Because the tarts were so small, I omitted the raspberry on the top because it was in the middle of the tart. The raspberry and the chocolate tastes were equally shared. It was a great hit at my party. All I did was add some Chambord and make the tarts tiny. Thanks Tyler Outstanding and Have Question 04/07/2008 at 06:56pm User: null from null, null User Rating: Great appearance and taste. Has anyone made the cookie crumb bases ahead of time? If so, did you need to refrigerate them? I need to make 60. Thanks Chocolate Delight 04/07/2008 at 05:12pm User: Anonymous User Rating: It is a cholcolate overload. I used more cream to help give the truffle recipe a much smoother taste. too sweet 04/02/2008 at 02:31pm User: Ruth from Castle Pines North, CO User Rating: I made these for Easter and wasn't successful with the first batch of chocolate but tried again and it worked. Overall, the recipe is too sweet although the chocolate is very creamy. I still have some left over from Easter so that should tell you something. :) Quick and easy 04/01/2008 at 03:19pm User: Caremn from St Petersburg, FL User Rating: Quick and easy treat when your in a hurry... Yummy 03/28/2008 at 12:28pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for Easter and everyone loved it. I also made half of them with strawberries. I thought that tasted better than the raspberries. Pretty Good 03/26/2008 at 11:47am User: Anonymous User Rating: Truffle mixture was tough to pipe out and it was difficult to make it look pretty but the taste was good. I used strawberries instead of raspberries and chocolate oreos for the crust. Also used with mini muffin trays. A bit tough to make gut very good 03/23/2008 at 05:55pm User: Nicole from Clifton Park, NY User Rating: I found the truffles a bit difficult to work wth although I used light cream instead of heavy cream.... It was tough to pipe, messy to work with but in the end they turned out nice and were a huge hit at the party. I used the extra raspberrys to decorate the serving plate for a fab presentation! Truffle Tarts 03/23/2008 at 09:36am User: Anonymous User Rating: Decadent and rich. Although the steps are simple enough, getting the cookie mixture in the muffin tins correctly can be tricky. A LOT harder than it looks! 03/22/2008 at 11:07pm User: Macy from Boston, MA User Rating: I don't think I've ever rated anything from FoodNetwork.com lower than 4-stars, but this recipe was the pits! I consider myself to be a fairly competent cook, but I could not get this recipe to work. The crust was so crumbly, and I couldn't get it to pack together well on the sides, even using a cup to press it. I practically spent the entire hour that the filling was cooling trying to make 6 decent cups! The truffle mixture, although it tastes delicious, was really stiff and would not pipe smoothly at all. I ended up putting the whole thing in a hot oven to allow it to soften up again so I could at least make it fill the cups, because when I piped it into the cups it essentially held it's shape, and wouldn't fill it. I would really appreciate some tips from others who have successfully made this recipe. Did I make some glaring mistake? (I only deviated from the recipe by using chocolate with 60% cocoa instead of 70%, because I couldn't find it anywhere). I suspect these will taste good (although right now I'm feeling a bit queasy from all the extra truffle mixture I snacked on) but it was not remotely easy to make them...they're so ugly that I'm not even sure I am going to bring them to the event for which I made them. Stumped 03/22/2008 at 05:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I'm making this right now and the truffle mixture is slightly greasy? Is this normal? How long do I whip it and will this greasiness go away the longer I whip? Always read reviews first. 03/22/2008 at 08:08am User: geraldine from southampton, NJ User Rating: I wish I had read the reviews first. I did not find this easy and when it says you get 15-20 candies it must mean you need to use a mini muffin pan. Definitely not worth the expense and trouble. Gerry Southampton NJ Just okay 03/21/2008 at 05:52pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These are just okay. They are good and quite easy to make however, they don't seem up to par for a Tyler Florence recipe. WoW!! 03/21/2008 at 10:31am User: null from null, null User Rating: I thought this recipe was very easy and managable..would absolutely make it again. Yummy!!!! 03/18/2008 at 12:45pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This one was a big hit at my party!! very tasty little morsels 03/13/2008 at 01:23pm User: pat from warrenville, IL User Rating: I made my own cookie dough. One with expresso powder.Which did add to tartlets.I found I did not need as much butter as recipe called for.Make mini tarlets instead, also placed two raspberries in each.It is true about ganache not being the easiest to work with. But thank heaven I am a baker & know how to rememdy that problem. with a few modifications they turned out GREAT.my 8 year old granddaughter,Julia, wants them for her birthday instead of a cake!! Yummy! 03/01/2008 at 09:39pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I used a mini muffin pan instead of the regular muffin pan. It was a little difficult coating the sides with the chocolate crumbs though, but other than that it was pretty easy to make and tasted great! Make sure to use the parchment paper for easy removal. amazing 02/16/2006 at 05:07pm User: bobby from oneida, NY User Rating: This was a little more difficult because I had never delt with chocolate before, but it turned out very good. I used this recipe on valentines day so I used sliced strawberries instead of the raspberry but the result was phenomenal...just ask my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years... Very easy and yummy 02/14/2007 at 04:03pm User: Joanne from Spanaway, WA User Rating: The gnache took me 2 tries to get it right (I really wish they'd have told me exactly how long to whip it), BUT, these came out perfect, and were VERY easy to make. Very yummy. A decidant little treat perfect for valentines, as I'd hoped. Turd Cakes 02/08/2005 at 03:03pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I haven't figured out a way to make the chocolate not look like my cats got to them, but they are so delicious and easy to make.
