A variation of this sorbet has become enormously popular as a margarita, and it's great. Simply made, you set a few spears of pared, cored fresh pineapple and a halved jalapeno in a jar with a fifth of tequila. Set the jar in a dark place for a couple of weeks, and serve over lots of ice.

I made the pineapple Jalepeno sorbet yesterday and I have to say it is simply fantastic. I can't wait to get the reaction from family and friends. It is sweet with a nice proportion of pepper flavor with a little bit of after bite. Its GREAT. I can't wait to make the apple glazed ribs next. I've gone to never having made home made ice cream to now owning 3 machines. Next time I'm thinking of maybe adding a touch of ginger to it. What do you think?

Yuck!

Didn't like this at all. I like hot and spicy with fruity, but this didn't work for me.

At my first attempt of trying this recipe I found it to be both cold and hot at the same time. I think the next time I do this I will maybe add a little more pinapple than chili's. On the overall taste it was fabuloso.
