1 cup only 08/10/2008 at 04:12pm User: k from hanford, CA User Rating: I just watched the actual episode where Sandra Lee made this recipe. She only used 1 cup of orange juice concentrate!!! For some reason, the recipe here states 16 ounces (which is 2 cups)!!!! I'll be sure to try this as soon as I can go to the store for the Yoplait orange creme yogurt!!! Perfect Score 03/02/2008 at 09:21am User: Patricia from Allen, TX User Rating: My children loved it!! I used the 12 oz can of orange/pinapple concentrate. It was great! Very unpleasant 07/17/2007 at 12:19pm User: Suzanne from Hillsboro, MO User Rating: There is something very wrong with this recipe. I was looking forward to trying it, until I did. Too much orange concentrate, too much ORANGE, very chalking tasting. My family did not enjoy at all. Very dissappointed:( Fabulous!!! 06/29/2007 at 06:49am User: Jodi from Ringgold, GA User Rating: This was incredible - I make this all the time now. This was the first recipe of Sandra Lee's that I've tried, and this one has made me try more, I have yet to find one of hers that I don't like. bad 06/22/2007 at 06:06pm User: Anonymous User Rating: it was to sweet and i couldnt finish the drink without gaging other than this drink semi-homemde recipies are good This Smoothie Is Great 06/21/2007 at 01:30pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I was watching Sandra Lee's show while I was fixing supper and decided to give it a try. It sounded refreshing on a hot day. It didn't disappoint me. This was easy to make and delicious. My husband really liked it too. A two thumbs up on this one. With a few adjustments. 06/13/2007 at 11:26pm User: Natassia from Kaneohe, HI User Rating: Since I was lacking the vanilla pudding mix and orange creme pudding. I did this instead. I had a can of orange concentrate (this only had 12 oz versus the 16oz) and I added the 3 cups of ice, 1 cup of milk. substituted the yogurt 4oz & vanilla pudding mix with a 8oz cup of strawberry yogurt. I also diced up 1 peach and blended it. The results were a refreshing orange strawberry peach smoothie :) It was perfect, I think if I added 16 oz of concentrate it would've been too sweet. Pretty Good 06/13/2007 at 05:45pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I like the things in this recipe. very tart! 04/17/2007 at 03:16pm User: lisa from fargo, ND User Rating: This recipe is very strong- in addition to the icecubes, I added 1 1/2 cups water to it- that was really good Not good eats at all. 03/26/2007 at 01:52pm User: CLAUDIA from columbia, SC User Rating: This is yet another Sandra Lee recipe I don't like. It had too much orange concentrate, way too sweet. I tried it with 6 oz of OJ instead and turned out great. AB Rocks! Greattttttttttttttttttttttttt 03/11/2007 at 08:30pm User: Ollie from Deland, FL User Rating: Very healthy drink and My daughter love'sit and so do I Make sure you read this first! 02/17/2007 at 10:18pm User: Tricia from camarillo, CA User Rating: There really must have been a printing error on this recipe. If you use 6oz of orange juice it's awesome, otherwise, it's disgusting. Add a banana for an extra bonus, now I'll never buy these at the mall again! Overkill 11/06/2006 at 07:39pm User: Corinne from Bowie, MD User Rating: This recipe is WAY too sweet and too orangy. My children wouldn't drink it even after I added more ice and at least another cup or two of milk. I think to make it better use the SMALL can of orange juice concentrate and perhaps more milk/ice to make it a better balance of creme/orange/vanilla flavors. Easy Easy 10/29/2006 at 03:01pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this smoothie within 4 minutes top. My kids love it! And I like it because it's healthy and filling. Wow! 10/27/2006 at 08:42pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was awesome! Easily enough for 4-5 people. Very filling. Better the the original "Orange Julius" Tastes like the real thing. 05/06/2006 at 12:16pm User: Sam from South Deerfield, MA User Rating: It really tasted like orange julius. Tried it, twice 05/05/2006 at 08:18pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Tried it, twice. Somethings very wrong here. Too heavy on the orange flavor, and it wasn't the ingrediants. Had a weird packaged taste 05/02/2006 at 12:44pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Not very fresh at all. Refreshing 05/02/2006 at 09:22am User: Tonya from Brandon, FL User Rating: I've made this recipe twice now. The second time I left out the orange yogurt, added a little more milk and not quite as much ice. I think I liked it a little better the second time around, but both ways are really good. My children didn't care for it, which surprised me, but I will make it again for myself. Orange Smoothie 04/30/2006 at 07:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I love this flavor idea, but I think it was too much orange. Tasted like you were drinking the orange concentrate straight from the can. A little orange juice might work better. good 04/29/2006 at 11:10pm User: Emily from Redlands, CA User Rating: A little strong tasting but good. My husband said it tasted just like a half and half bar. I made this with Crystal Lite Orange and also with Tang and compared it to the recipe as written 04/28/2006 at 02:17pm User: Anonymous User Rating: In a blind taste test, my family and girlfriend preferred the version made with Tang. They said it had the most natural taste. This was awful 04/28/2006 at 12:03pm User: Anonymous User Rating: everything together was really bad. We love smoothies, but this one was terrible 04/27/2006 at 03:03pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I am not sure what's wrong with this recipe, but smoothies are supposed to taste fresh and fruity and this tastes totally the opposite. A winner! 04/24/2006 at 11:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Oaky, this was just too good for words! Will serve for Mothers Day! Poor smoothie 04/20/2006 at 08:41pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My kids didn't like it and me neither. Tasted artificial somehow 04/10/2006 at 07:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Not like oranges at all. Poor recipe for a smoothie 03/29/2006 at 08:39pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My kids wouldn't drink it. Thick and tasty 03/29/2006 at 03:00pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I LOVED this smoothie! Also, I should mention that I have a 6 cup blender and it all fit just fine! It is quite thick though, so I added less ice. Had a very odd aftertaste 03/24/2006 at 10:39pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Unpleasant Very thick 03/14/2006 at 07:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Not very tasty though anonymous 02/06/2006 at 08:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Awesome, kids loved it. Also prepared it by substituting the juice and pudding mix with frozen strawberry punch and white chocolate pudding mix...... Pudding adds great flavor 02/06/2006 at 02:38am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was delish. Five stars! This smoothy is really really delicious 02/01/2006 at 03:24am User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe is going on my fridge. We will be making this again and again. You can easily make it more healthy by adding a little protein powder or a banana or both! too De 02/01/2006 at 12:39am User: Anonymous User Rating: lish!!!! We cared very much for this smoothie 01/28/2006 at 08:33pm User: Anonymous User Rating: from the tang of the yogurt to the sweetness of the pudding to the tartness of the orange juice.....we loved it. very yummy 01/28/2006 at 12:47am User: Anonymous User Rating: very yummy orange smoothie!! I think it's a typo in the written recipe. I only put as much in my blender as would fit per common sense. Error in recipe??? 01/27/2006 at 08:57am User: Leslie from DePere, WI User Rating: Recipe calls for a 16 oz. froz oj concentrate. I think they meant 6 oz? I purchased a 12 oz froz concentrate and couldn't fit it all in the blender! Delish 01/23/2006 at 06:26pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I love vanilla puding mix as is anyway - this tasted just like it - yummo! Yuck! 01/23/2006 at 06:24pm User: Marsha from Hollywood, CA User Rating: I cared for neither the artificial taste of the pudding mix nor the tang of the yogurt. perfect smoothie 01/22/2006 at 12:45am User: Anonymous User Rating: It was very flavorful and orangey! I was curious 01/20/2006 at 07:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I had to try this because putting vanilla pudding mix into a smoothie? Well, I had to try it. It's yummy!!!! one of the best smoothies I've ever had! 01/18/2006 at 10:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: nuff said! |
