I saw Paula make these and thought they looked great. I love nuts but most of my family not a big fan. Made these for Christmas Eve and they were the hit of our annual appetizer Christmas Eve get together. Will make them for New Years Eve again. Easy and quick and tastes great. We love Paula.

These were fabulous! I made them up the day before, which was a huge help as I was also doing scallops w/bacon and salmon roll ups. The dates were the first to go!

It took no time to prepare and it was delicious. I am wondering how long you can let them sit there. Made them ahead to try before my party. I will let you know how they were received.

I tried these for a party, and everyone seemed to love them. I used a sweeter bacon, so the flavor was a little sweeter than I expected. The consistency was fantastic!!

I made these for a group get together and I brought my plate home empty! The only thing I would recomend is to use a good quality bacon, the bacon I used once cooked wasn't very pretty. Good thing they tasted good!

these are simple and taste fabulous. hard to find such an easy prep with such great flavor. Folks dogged them at our last party and we prepped 6 per person. Also good with almonds, goat cheese, chicken livers, etc.

a little too sweet

I thought this recipe was good but maybe a little too sweet. I piped some goat cheese inside the dates which was a lot of work but gave them a little bit of tang that they needed. Popular dish at card game gathering.

yummmmm

This treat was well-received at my Christmas party. Kind of messy to put together (the dates are so sticky), but worth it.

Quick Lil' Incredibles

because of the mixture of flavors! I used a center cut bacon (cutting each slice in half)which was leaner providing less grease. Also, I was able to squeeze two pecan halves into each date. Serving warm instead of cold tasted better as the warmth only enhanced the each ingredient.

This is a wonderful recipe. When the dates come out of the oven you can't wait to bite in to them. The dates are so carmaly and the salt from the bacon is a perfect match. It tastes a little like baked beans. My Honey told me any thing wrapped in bacon is going to be good; that is true for this recipe. Thank you Paula!

This are great!

This recipe is always requested whenever we have a get together. However, once I was out of dates, so I substituted dried apricots instead, and it was such a hit that now I have to make both.

These did not work well for me. The bacon did not cook evenly. I was not crazy about the date combo either but my family enjoyed them.

I made these for a get-together with friends and they were fabulous. My husband loved them so much, that he asked me to make them for his family's Christmas party. I used pecans in some, almonds in some, and pineapple in others. They are so easy to make and present beautifully. The sweet and salty go fabulous together.

The sweet dates and salty bacon was a surprisingly delicious combination! Yummy appetizer over the holidays. Use a high quality bacon, so it cooks faster, otherwise the dates get overcooked. Great at room temp too!

Just made these for my New Year's gathering and it was a hit. Everyone enjoyed them and saw a few go back for more again and again. The texture was perfect and the sweetness of the dates, the crunchiness of the pecans, and the smokiness of the bacon went wonderful together.

To make this a 5 star I brush or spoon on some Sweet and Sour sauce and then bake on a wire rack that sits on top of a cookie sheet lined with foil. You get a wonderful sweet, salty, chewy, crunchy texture that makes them so good. I don't even like dates, however I LOVE these!!! They are a favorite in my family and were a big hit at my Xmas party this year.
