These rolls are wonderful. The texture is so soft and pillowy. The taste is very good too...although the second time I made these with half the amount of sugar for a less sweet bread...all in all good they were a big hit for Thanksgiving!

This recipe does indeed make "OVERSIZE" rolls. They were so HUGE, good and delicious. My family and friends remarked that they tasted "sweet". Nevertheless the rolls didn't last long.

These are quick and simple to make. My family insists that I make some today (on Thanksgiving. I will put together the dough, watch some football, roll em up in balls watch some more football with my dad, then bake em right after the Tureky comes out. It will be just perfect!

These are a hit. They are sweet and have a great flavor. I kneaded the rolls and then divided them in half. I froze one half and refrigerated the other half, doing them a couple days in advance. I then brought them to room temp and proceeded with the remainder of the recipe. They turned out great. They didn't rise the second time as much as I thought they would, however I'll try the recipe as written the next time to see if it had any effect. They are delicious. Good job Emeril!

These rolls took a lot of work, but they were worth it. My family loved them. I originally found the recipe in a magazine then lost it after using it once, and now that I've found it again, I plan on making it a holiday tradition!

These things turned out ridiculously large. I was feeling like I must have done something wrong. I could have easily made 2 dozen. They are in the oven, so no comment on how they taste.

My five year old nephew said, "I love your bread, Aunt Krista". I substituted 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, and the rolls turned out great. These look professional when they come out of the oven!

Dinner Rolls

User: Janet from St. George, UT    User Rating:
These rolls are a little sweeter than a standard dinner roll due to the high amount of sugar. That makes them especially tasty with a tart jam as suggested in the recipe. I always use a rapid mix method with bread recipes, so I put the dough together differently that specified. I also didn't roll out the dough, but merely formed the specified number of balls which saved some time and effort. This resulted in a few extra rolls, but they were plenty big anyway.
