This is my first home made pumpkin pie. I've had several store bought pumpkin pies and they have nothing on this one. I was pleasantly surprised. Great flavor. I used a prepared pie crust.

Very Delicious but ours NEVER SET!

I loved the taste of the pie but no matter how long we baked it in the oven it never set. It ended up being mushy for our Thanksgiving meal and even after putting the leftovers in the fridge they still didn't set. Any suggestions?!

Great.

I made this pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. I did not use the pie crust recipe given - I used Emeril's Sweet Pie Crust. It was very good, but not the best pumpkin pie I've ever had.

Full of pumpkin

I love this recipe. The custard is not too rubbary, nicely soft. The seasoning was good, but I added 1/2 teaspoon extra cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon extra ginger for a slightly spicier version. If you really like spicy you could add a little more than I. Best of all you could taste the pumpkin

There isn't anything wrong with this recipe but it isn't spectacular. The par-baking crust technique is a smart one for almost any custard pie. I would like to try a deep-dish version of this so the pumpkin had more of an opportunity to balance out the crust (since par-baking means you taste and notice the crust more).

You've Got to Try This!! THE Pumpkin Pie Recipe.

I wanted a pumpkin pie recipe, and though Paula Deen's got amazing reviews, a "cheesecake-like" pumpkin pie did NOT interest me. This pie recipe is perfect -- incredibly light and airy, because the batter is so liquidy (don't be afraid, add in all the liquid!) and it bakes up so beautifully. It's absolutely delicious, I couldn't stop eating it! You have to try this.

Even my mom said it was the best Pumpkin Pie she had ever had. I'll never used can again. Only downfall, way to much work for the crust, I used my own.

Being a 19 year old.. we're usually being sterotyped as those who do not cook.. but beware.. every single recipe I have cooked from this web site has been fantastic and I have blown friends and family away with my cooking skills. Esp. this one.. my first pie made ever... it's excellant!! My Mom said the crust taste just like what her mother made back in the day when my Grandma was still alive. Ecellant recipe if I do say so myself!!!!
