 1. Boil Add pasta to salted boiling water. Stir constantly for the first minute to prevent sticking and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes.
 2. Puree In a food processor, puree 3 cups of chunky tomato sauce until smooth.
 3. Saute In a large saute pan, heat olive oil. Add red pepper flakes to infuse flavor and then add a mixture of different olives. Saute over medium-high heat for 3 minutes.
 4. Simmer Reduce heat to low and carefully add tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.
 5. Drain When pasta is done, drain in a colander and reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water. Add pasta to simmering sauce and toss to completely coat. Add pasta water if the mixture is too dry.
 6. Serve Top pasta with shaved parmesan cheese and roughly shredded basil leaves.
